This is a great demo! The writing is great and the background art really caught my eye.
Quick question though; is there a place/form to report dialogue bugs? There seems to be a glitch where Jack (with him intentionally being the selected character- and his image is the one used for the sprite) is referred to with she/her pronouns in multiple scenes
Thanks😊 And... that must be an issue with a variable🤔😵I'll look into it when I have time🙇♂️Edit: If it's around the coffee scene, I found it😅👍 Also found one for Jane around the photocopier scene and fixed that too👀
Really solid demo! I got chills at the choice of whether to drink the coffee or fake it. The art is really lovely too, it feels like living in a charcoal sketch
I remember playing this demo some time ago and by that time I was confused on what was happening and why the plot was this way. But so far, you really sold the dreary and bleak atmosphere. I like how it feels slow and boring at the first part and the pure monotonous progression shows MC's further mental state.
I like the twist at the end especially with the test scenes where we can be able to gather the real role MC has and how it goes against the traditional roles of what MC and the LI have which is very intriguing to see it in a different POV.

I have to say! I had an inkling on what the "roommate" was but I really like how we really see the thriller aspect of yanderes and how their obsession is downright terrifying when not in the lens of their love interest. I also like how you can see the roommate hesitating in the test scenes to take MC's life but in the Bad End in the actual game, you can see that the Roommate didn't even hesitate in answering the questions and a lackluster response. Probably the shock of killing someone faded overnight.
Really hoping we see more lore from the Roommate and seeing MC's mind work overdrive to outsmart the murderous killer. Great work!
Sorry for the late response🙇♂️ First of all, welcome back🤗(Hopefully that sounded okay🤔😅). Second, thank you so much😊 I couldn't stop smiling as I reread this post. It's a really great feeling to see that certain stuff and plot points came across as intended👀👍
Adding on to your thoughts, it sometimes also feels like certain kinds of actions can cross to big of a line🤔 Like, this may've been the first time the yandere felt murder was necessary😵 Although, I still want to leave most of it up to interpretation😅👌
I'm also planning to go more into the roommate's background situation in a later part of the final game🙇♂️👍
oh...so I'm the victim that a yandere killed instead of being obsessed,🤣it's the first time I've played yandere game from this unique perspective (in a good way).I like the depressing atmosphere of this game, which gives me a strong sense of immersion, and I'm looking forward to future updates!😋
Ahhhhh I'm sorry to make you lose interest! I should have added a spoiler ahead! ! I pretty like the mysterious and depressing vibe, and the writing style is also good. Generally it's worth playing.
Sorry for the late reply here😅👌 I really appreciated your comments, and your thoughts regarding the twist I'm trying to go for with this game🤗 The game was originally inspired by an awful situation I once had in my personal life, that involved receiving a handful of threatening messages over Facebook😓
Sorry for the late reply🥲 In all honesty, I'm hoping to make Love Company into the type of game that you can still get something from😅👌 Hopefully it's coming off that way in what I have, so far🤔
Sorry for the really late reply😵💫 I honestly wasn't sure what to respond to this message with... Part of me wants to keep the main character gender neutral for immersion-sake. And at the same time, I originally planned for this game to deal with a certain breed of non-typical, toxic of relationships😅 Also don't want to come off like one of those kinds of writers who seems like they're retconning a bunch of lore and stuff outside of the final version of their story🥹
I mean, if it's stated in advance that the player is gonna be called "he" then no biggy cuz then though who aren't comfortable with being called that know to avoid it. Its your story and your free to do what you want with it. Be that making it for male-identifying persons or otherwise. Just a heads-up in the description would be cool.
Okay, and I'm sorry for not making it clear beforehand🙇♂️ In the future, I'm either going to keep things gender neutral or have it tied to whether who's playing chooses Jack or Jane🤔
Quite awesome! Really enjoyed the art and how the writing actually made me feel like the MC. Would love to see this being developed more! Btw, no good ending?
Wow! This game is so interesting and has so much potential! I really like the style, atmosphere, tension, plot. Could you tell me please, are you still develop this game? Or it's on hiatus?
And if you are still working on the game, is there a possibility in one of the game routes that yandere will become obsessed with the MC? Romantically, I mean. That would be so very unusual!
Liked the story but from what there is right now it's not a yandere game. A stalker who is after you isn't automatically a yandere.
No hate tho just wanted to tell you that. Regardless it looks like a lot of potential! Also i hope you are alright if you said in one of the route that this game is kinda your coping mechanism and that you also went through something like that.
Thanks, and hopefully I'll be able to to eventually finish the game... Big spoiler for what's to come, but the 'stalker' is coming after you because they view you as the competition. At least, that was what I was going for...
Yea good luck with that i meant that this character isn't a yandere but it can surely be a stalker. A yandere is a character that is also obsessed with you like a stalker but they are obsessed with you for romantic reason not for hatred (like many stalkers irl reasons)
And i can see that direction where you are trying to go with the stalker since it's obvious that they hate the MC!
I had a full narrated verson of this but for some reason my mic didn't pick it up and so I cried. Not long after I died..and than I died again. For some strange reason I just can't get a good ending but maybe there is no happy ending in Love Company! I know it's just a demo 😉 and I really enjoyed what I played and hope to see a finished game. I love the film noir look of it really gives it a 1940's mystery feel almost an Agatha Christie vibe! ❤
Thank you, and that makes me so happy.🤩 I look up to Agatha Christie, so hearing that really means a lot.🤗 Unfortunately there are no happy endings in the game yet, but I plan to have at least one or two good endings in the finished version🙇
Really enjoyed this demo so far! The black and white painted art style is great, and the story made me look forward to the rest of the game. I just wish the demo was a little longer T_T
The visuals are absolutely stunning and help bring forth such hauntingly beautiful atmosphere. I have so many questions!! Can't wait for the full release!

i got called "he" by the killer after my death was announced on the news

And... yeah🥲 The current demo doesn't have any good endings, but I am planning to have at least 2 good ones in the finished game🫡
Oooh, new up
Yup😅👌 I hope you like it if you're able to try it, but any constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated😊👍
